Duck the Danger of Developing Varicose
Veins
Unseasonable warmth made Thanksgiving and Christmas feel more like spring – or summer – holidays; but the new year is bringing falling temperatures. If you plan to take comfort in a relaxing bath, remember that hot water dilates leg veins, upping their risk of becoming varicose. So,
if you must soak in a bath, lie back and rest your feet on the edge
of the tub, with your legs above the water. Otherwise, at least elevate them for 30 minutes a day, to improve
blood flow and duck the danger of developing varicose veins.
