Stay On Your Toes, But Off Your Feet
As millions of people have varicose veins, many believe that
getting them is inevitable; but it’s not. If you want healthy veins, start by helping them do their job - keeping blood moving - by keeping
yourself moving, with daily exercise. But also avoid standing or sitting for long periods, wear compression hose, and elevate
your feet for 30 minutes whenever you can. This
is especially important now, when preparing holiday feasts,
shopping, cleaning, and socializing can put extra demands on your time – and
your body. So, take frequent breaks, and if you already
have varicose veins that begin aching or throbbing, come see us for the proper diagnosis and treatment. Remember, you may have to stay on your toes
during the holidays, but you don't have to stay on your feet!
